CAREER NIGHT NETS HARVEY CCAC DEFENDER OF THE WEEK HONORS

CHICAGO, Ill. – A career night at the net has landed Olivet Nazarene University's Jackson Harvey the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Volleyball Defender of the Week award for week 5, the league office announced Tuesday.

Harvey, a senior from Indianapolis, Ind., was tough at the net in a pair of matches to land CCAC Defender of the Week honors. He finished averaging just under two blocks per set with his 1.7 average. 

The highlight for the senior opposite-side hitter was his career-best ten blocks in a four-set win over NAIA No. 8 Westcliff University (Calif.) last Monday. He also had a career-high five solo blocks in the contest.

Harvey added another two blocks in a three-set loss to Vanguard University (Calif.) last Wednesday.

Olivet Nazarene is 6-7 overall and 1-1 in league play.
