TIGERS COME UP SHORT AGAINST KEISER IN WEST PALM BEACH
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Olivet Nazarene (IL) (9-3) fell to Keiser (10-1) with a final score of 79-63 on Thursday. Despite the loss, the Tigers recorded 17 assists and 9 steals in the contest.
The game began with the Tigers striving to keep pace with Keiser. Eli Edwards initiated the scoring for the visitors with a layup at 18:54, assisted by Andrew Bennett. Despite falling behind 10 points midway through the half, the Tigers narrowed the gap with a 3-pointer from Dylan Fey at 12:29. The team managed to pull within one point at 2:50 with a 3-pointer from Jonny Dickson, but Keiser maintained the lead. The half ended with the Tigers trailing 35–31.
Olivet Nazarene made a notable push midway through the second half, narrowing the gap to 53–50 with a surge that included a 3-pointer by Dickson at 8:40. Despite efforts, including Edwards contributing multiple inside points, they couldn't overtake Keiser, who maintained a lead throughout. Mason Wood recorded a double-double with 10 rebounds and added six points while also contributing two steals. Dickson tallied 10 points and was active on defense with four steals. Bennett facilitated the offense with seven assists and scored six points, including two 3-pointers.
