ONU PICKS UP CLEAN-SWEEP WIN OVER ROOSEVELT IN HOME FINALE

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – Playing in their final home match of the season, the Olivet Nazarene University men's tennis team picked up a clean-sweep 4-0 win over the Roosevelt Lakers Wednesday afternoon.

The Tigers got out to a hot start by sweeping the Lakers in all three doubles matches. Carlos Gomez and Carlo Cota Vargas picked up the 6-4 win in the top match before Shaun Choubey and Paul Saleh took a dominant 6-0 win in the No. 2 match. Nick Bailey and Taiga Kurosu picked up the sweep via default in the No. 3 match.

Bailey got things started off for ONU with a 6-3, 1-0 forfeit win in the top singles match. Gomez then picked up a 6-1, 6-1 win in the No. 4 match. Hector Romero then tacked down the win for the Tigers with a default win at No. 6.

The Tigers will close out the regular season with a CCAC match against Judson on Saturday, April 22, in Elgin, Ill.
