LANUM DASHES PERSONAL BEST AGAINST TOUGH FIELD IN MICHIGAN
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The ONU Men's Cross Country Team ran an 8K event at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge at Riverside Park on Saturday. The Tigers battled a field with 11 of the Top 25 NAIA Teams in the country.
Leading the pack for the Tigers was Jeremiah Lanum. Lanum dashed a personal best by 49 seconds with a time of 25:00.40 that finished 28th out of 204 runners. Scoring with Lanum for the Tigers were Reese Devriendt and Charlie Baldwell, finishing within a second of each other with times of 25:36.10 and 25:37.00, which were good for 71st and 72nd.
Also running inside the top 75 was Austin Tice, who finished in 74th with a time of 25:37.50, not far behind his teammates. Rounding out the scoring for the Tigers was Kaden Smith with a time of 26:10.50.
The Tigers had a final score of 374, placing them at 15 out of 23 teams in the Maroon Race.
The ONU Men's Cross Country Team will run next at the CCAC Championship at Aspen Ridge Golf Course on Saturday, Nov 8.
