TIGERS RUN TO SECOND PLACE FINISH AT CCAC CHAMPIONSHIPS
BOURBONNAIS, Ill. - The Olivet Nazarene University men's cross country team ran to a second-place finish at the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday.
Sophomore Jeremiah Lanum led the Tigers with a stellar performance, finishing second overall in a time of 25:20.48. Junior Charlie Bardwell followed closely, placing sixth in 25:37.61, while sophomore Reese DeVriendt and junior Austin Rush finished 10th and 12th, respectively, both under the 26-minute mark. Sophomore Toby Sneed added to the scoring effort, placing 14th.
Although the Tigers finished with an impressive 44 points for their team score, St. Francis (Ill.) took the team title with a score of 33 points. St. Francis was led by the individual champion, Tyler Anderson, who crossed the finish line at a time of 25:11.37.
Olivet will now wait to see if the team or any individuals qualify for the NAIA Championships, which will be held on Friday, Nov. 21 in Tallahassee, Fla.
