TIGERS BATTLE TO SCORELESS DRAW AGAINST INDIANA NORTHWEST
Crown Point, Ind. — Olivet Nazarene (IL) played to a scoreless draw against Indiana Northwest on Wednesday evening, with the Tigers' goalkeeper recording a shutout by making two crucial saves.
Olivet Nazarene (IL) holds a record of 5-0-6 overall and 3-0-5 in conference play. Indiana Northwest stands at 4-3-7 overall with a 2-2-4 mark in conference competition.
The first half commenced with Olivet pressing forward with multiple attempts on goal. Despite several shots, including those from Sofia Diaz and Marisa Lopez, the team was unable to convert, as Indiana Northwest's goalkeeper Isabel Escalera made crucial saves. Melea Miller had a promising opportunity with a penalty kick at the 21:53 mark, but it went wide.
Olivet continued to apply pressure throughout the half, with Aaliyah Racadio-Kahoohanohano and Rebekah Delia contributing to the attacking efforts. However, the defensive efforts of Indiana Northwest kept the game scoreless. The first half concluded with both teams locked at 0-0, as Olivet sought to break the deadlock.
