BEYER LEADS #19 TIGERS TO SECOND VICTORY OF SEASON

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The #19 Olivet Nazarene University women's cross-country team cruised to a first place finish in the nine-team Pilot Invitational at St. Patrick's Park on Friday.

Leading the way for the Tigers was Sophomore Taygen Beyer, who dashed to a fourth place finish with a time of 19:55.10. Not far behind, finishing in seventh and eighth place were junior, Emily Langerak and senior, Destiny Vargas, who ran within two seconds of each other with times of 20:33.00 and 20:34.50. Rounding out the scoring for the Tigers were sophomores, Madison Trumbo and Tess Varga, who finished in 10th and 11th place with times of 20:43.80 and 20:46.70, respectively.

With a team total of 35 points, ONU captured their second victory of the season. Goshen (Ind.) came in second with 70 Points and Trinity Christian (Ill.) was the next NAIA representative in the standings with a team total of 98 points.

The Tigers return to action at the Great Lakes Invitational in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Saturday, Oct. 25.
