HELDT'S SCHOOL RECORD LEADS ONU TO IMPRESSIVE SHOWING IN MICHIGAN

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Olivet Nazarene University women's cross-country placed fifth at the Great Lakes Challenge XC Invitational at Riverside Park on Saturday.

Heidi Heldt won the 5k race and secured a new school record with a time of 17:28.40!

The top 5 Tigers all dashed within the 19:00 mark. Claire Carter finished with a time of 18:50, Violet Montgomery 18:52, Jolie Burleson 18:53, and rounding out the scoring was Taygen Beyer at 19:00.

The Tigers scored a 183, placing them fifth out of 22 teams, including knocking off #5-ranked Indiana Wesleyan and #12-ranked Aquinas.

ONU Women's Cross Country returns to action at the CCAC Championship at Aspen Ridge Golf Course on Saturday, Nov 8.
