ONU ROLLS PAST REDHAWKS AT HOME

BOURBONNAIS. Ill. - Olivet Nazarene University's (ONU) women's soccer team secured a 3-0 victory over Indiana University Northwest on Saturday at home, dominating both sides of the ball. The Tigers showcased a balanced attack and a stingy defense, earning their third straight win in conference play.

The Tigers opened the scoring late in the first half, when Skylar Bos found the back of the net in the 33rd minute off a well-placed assist from Hailey King. ONU kept the pressure on the Redhawks' defense, creating several chances, but the visitors managed to hold off further damage as the Tigers went into halftime up 1-0.

ONU wasted no time in the second half, with Bos doubling her tally in the 51st minute to give the Tigers breathing room. The Tigers didn't take their foot off the gas, maintaining possession and pushing for more. The final nail in the coffin came in the 83rd minute, when Emma Daniels struck with a composed finish, assisted by Aaliyah Racadio-Kahoohanohano, to seal the 3-0 victory. The Tigers' defense stayed impenetrable, keeping the Redhawks from gaining any momentum and securing a clean sheet.

Looking Ahead

ONU will stay at home for their next conference showdown against Governors State University on October 1st, at 7 p.m. CST. The Tigers aim to keep their strong form going as they continue their conference campaign.
