HOWARD, ICE EARN TOP-15 FINISHES AT RUMBLE AT THE ROCK

PERU, Ind.Lizzie Howard and Taylor Ice finished in a tie for 12th place to lead the Olivet Nazarene University women's golf team at the Rumble at the Rock played at the Rock Hollow Golf Course Friday and Saturday.

Both Tigers carded sub-80 rounds throughout the tournament. Howard, a junior from Dunlap, Ill., fired a 79 in the opening round while freshman Ice recorded the team's best round of the weekend with a 77 on Saturday. The former followed up with an 85 to finish at 164 while the latter started the tournament with an 87 to reach 164, as well.

Mya Jones shot a pair of consistent rounds of 89 and 92 to finish in a tie for 33rd with a score of 181. Bella Rosado and Amelia Birge finished within two strokes of each other at 189 and 191, respectively, to round out the weekend for ONU.

The Tigers took a stroke off their second round to finish at 695, securing fifth place at the 10-team tournament. Grace (Ind.) took the team title with a final score of 628.

ONU will next compete on their home turf when they host the Bill Johnson Memorial at Cinder Ridge in Wilmington, Ill., Sept. 30-Oct. 1.
