CORA JOINS 1,000 POINT CLUB IN WIN OVER TCC

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The Olivet Nazarene University women's basketball team routed the Trinity Christian Trolls 130-66 Saturday afternoon in McHie Arena. Maggie Cora became the 34th Tiger in program history to join the 1,000-point club. The senior out of Lizton, Ind. scored 12 points total in the ballgame with five rebounds and five steals.

Olivia Dirkse tied her season-high with 22 points off the bench to lead ONU in scoring. She was 4-8 from beyond the arc and filled the stat sheet with three steals, three assists, and six rebounds while taking care of the ball without committing a turnover. Olivia Demosthenes was close behind the freshman guard scoring 19 points. She made a game-high five three-point baskets.


Caroline Boehne poured in 16 points. It is her 21st game of the season and eighth game in a row scoring in double figures. Bett O'Neal and Brooklyn Marshall each tallied 13 points. O'Neal swiped a game-high six steals in the process.


The Tigers combined to convert 22 threes shooting 44% from distance and were automatic from the line making 20 of there 22 free throws. The ONU bench scored 61 points to TCC's 19 and scored 73 points off of Trolls turnovers.
