SIX HIT DOUBLE FIGURES AS No. 15 ONU WINS BIG OVER GRACE CHRISTIAN

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – Six Tigers reached double-digit points as the No. 15 Olivet Nazarene University men's basketball team rolled to a 105-71 win over Grace Christian Saturday afternoon in McHie Arena.

The Tigers were led by senior forward Griffin Andricks, who set a new career-best with 20 points on an efficient 8-of-10 shooting performance. Tyler Schmidt filled in 17 while Landon Pflederer hit four 3-pointers on his way to 14. Caleb Swearingen and Daniel Murphy both netted 12, and Sam Emich finished with 11.

In total, 10 Tigers contributed to the scoresheet as ONU eclipsed the century mark for the first time this season.

ONU took control early in the first half. Leading 10-7 three minutes in, the Tigers put the game out of reach when they opened up a 17-1 run to take a commanding lead. Grace Christian (1-5) trailed by double-digits for the remainder of the game.

The Tigers closed out the half with a season-best 56 first-half points. Pflederer scored 14 while Andricks and Swearingen each scored 10 to lead ONU to a 28-point lead at the break.

The lead was never in question in the second half as the reserves came in to close out the big win, the team's fourth win on the young season.

The Tigers, now 4-1 overall, will open CCAC play when they host Saint Xavier next Tuesday, Nov. 21 in McHie Arena. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 p.m. CST following the women's game.
