TIGERS CONTINUE STRONG OUTDOOR SEASON ACROSS TWO MEETS
ELMHURST, Ill. – The Olivet Nazarene University men's and women's track & field teams continued their strong start to the outdoor season at two meets this weekend, the Chicagoland Championships and the SIU Bill Cornell Invite.
Three Tigers hit individual national-qualifying standards at the SIU Bill Cornell Invite. Kiara Carter and Hannah Antkoviak both hit a pair of standards; the former hit the A standard in the 400-meter dash at 56.55 and notced the B standard in the 200-meter dash at 24.78, and the latter hit A standards in both the 400-meter dash (54.89) and the 100-meter hurdles (13.78). Vince Giuliano punched his ticket to nationals with his A-standard time of 21.12 in the 200-meter dash.
Antkoviak and Carter then teamed up with Kaylah McCall and Carsyn Burdine to eclipse the NAIA's B standard in the 4x100-meter relay at 47.73.
