ONU SHUTS OUT SIENA HEIGHTS ON THE ROAD

ADRIAN, Mich. - Olivet Nazarene University (ONU) men's soccer team continued their strong start to the season with a commanding 3-0 victory on the road against Siena Heights University on Saturday. The Tigers set the tone early, scoring all three goals in the first half and controlling the match from start to finish.

ONU wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, with Philip Joergensen netting the first goal in the 6th minute, assisted by Kurodo Ihara. The Tigers doubled their lead in the 18th minute when Ihara found the back of the net, courtesy of a well-placed assist from Mounir Azzam. The team's relentless pressure paid off once again in the 36th minute when Jordan Nobe extended the lead to 3-0, capitalizing on a precise pass from David Garcia.

The Tigers' defense remained solid throughout the match, shutting down any attempts by the Saints to get back into the game. With the win, ONU secured their second victory of the season, maintaining their momentum as they look ahead to the coming challenges.

Looking Ahead

The Tigers will continue their road trip as they face William Penn University in their next match on September 5th. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. CST. ONU will aim to keep their winning streak alive as they take on the Statesmen in what promises to be another competitive matchup.
