TIGERS SWEEP BEES AT HOME

BOURBONNAIS, IL. - Olivet Nazarene University's men's volleyball team delivered a resounding performance on Tuesday night, dispatching the visiting St. Ambrose Fighting Bees in straight sets (26-24, 25-20, 25-16) at McHie Arena.

Throughout the match, ONU's offense clicked on all cylinders. Brody McAfee (11 kills, 1 assisted block) and Kahaku Marquez (7 kills, 1 block) punished the SAU defense with a relentless barrage of kills, finding seams in the opposing block with impressive consistency. Setting the table for the attackers was maestro Tomas Gonzalez (29 assists), who orchestrated the offense with pinpoint precision, distributing the ball effectively and keeping the Tigers in system. Defensively, the Tigers were a force at the net. Middle blocker Sterling Staranchuk (7 kills, 7 assisted blocks) anchored the defense, putting up a wall that repeatedly denied St. Ambrose any clear scoring opportunities.

Looking Ahead

ONU will take their winning momentum on the road as they face off against the Georgetown Tigers on Mar. 16th on the campus of Siena Heights University. This Tiger vs. Tiger matchup is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. CST.
