Game 1: Taylor (Ind.) 20, Olivet Nazarene 5

The Tigers fell into a 7-0 hole in the first two innings before Kai Hudson put ONU on the scoreboard with an RBI single to right field to score Garret Mooney in the third inning. The Trojans tacked on another six unanswered runs in the fourth inning to put the game out of reach.

Despite the deficit, Olivet continued to put runs on the board as Taylor Steig and Jordan Rhoden knocked in two runs in the fifth inning. Kai Hudson recorded his second run-batted-in. His single in the top of the sixth inning with Garret Mooney on second base stopped the Taylor run. Evan Pogioli ended the game on a positive note with a solo home run to right field.

Game 2: Taylor (Ind.) 13, Olivet Nazarene 1

Taylor took an early lead for the second consecutive game scoring three runs in the first inning. Masen Beatty recorded his first RBI of the year and brought the Tigers their first run of the game. The catcher drove a ball to right-center field for a double with Taylor Steig scoring.

The Trojans would go on to score 10 additional unanswered runs between the third and sixth innings. On the defensive side of the ball, they held ONU to just two hits for the remainder of the day. Kai Hudson and Robert Jackman both recorded two hits.
