ONU TRACK & FIELD RETURNS WITH BIG PERFORMANCE AT HEENAN INVITE

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – After a six-week hiatus, the Olivet Nazarene University men's and women's track & field teams returned with multiple school records and NAIA standards at the Heenan Invitational on the historic Al B. Carius Track. The ONU women totaled 93 points to finish third out of eight teams, while the Tiger men racked up 199 points to take the top spot at the seven-team meet.

Vince Giuliano continued his stellar senior campaign with two individual titles, two NAIA A standards, and a new school record. The record came at 6.82 in the 60-meter dash before he hit a 21.83 in the 200-meter dash. He went 1-2 in the latter with Joseph Randolph, who finished runner-up with a B-standard time of 22.15.

Hannah Antkoviak and Kiara Carter both hit A standards while winning individual events. Antkoviak won a pair of titles, clocking in a school record time of 8.59 to win the 60-meter hurdles and 25.24 to win the 200-meter dash. Carter hit a time of 58.14 to take down the 400-meter dash.

Kayla Mikottis and Noah Sears led the Tigers in the field events. Mikottis placed runner-up in the women's weight throw with an NAIA A-standard mark of 17.14 meters, while Sears cleared the NAIA B-standard height of 4.70 meters to win the men's pole vault.
