WOMEN SPLIT. MEN SWEEP TRI-MEET AGAINST BETHEL & IWU

ELKHART, Ind. – The Olivet Nazarene University men's and women's swimming & diving competed in the Bethel Tri-Meet on Saturday, with the ONU men downing both Indiana Wesleyan and Bethel (Ind.) while the Tiger women defeated the Pilots but fell to the Wildcats.

The ONU women notched four individual wins, led by Julie Vega who swept the breaststroke events. The senior posted winning times of 1:06.19 in the 100-yard and 2:24.59 in the 200-yard. Halle Briner sped to a title-clinhing 1:58.23 in the 200-yard freestyle, while Ashley Parry picked up a win in the 100-yard butterfly at 59.31.

The Tiger men boasted an impressive nine individual titles at the tri-meet. Jack Fries continued his stellar sophomore season with wins in all three of his events: the 200-yard freestyle (1:49.74), 100-yard backstroke (54.14), and 200-yard backstroke (2:01.17).
