ROLISON NETS CAREER HIGH OF 39 POINTS AS TIGERS CRUSH TRINITY

BOURBONNAIS, IL - A lights-out performance from Khendel Rolison and a stifling defense propelled the Olivet Nazarene University women's basketball team to a resounding 117-72 victory over the Trinity Christian College Trolls on Saturday. Rolison poured in a career-high 39 points to power the Tigers to victory.

The Trolls came out firing, grabbing a quick six-point lead before the Tigers found their rhythm. ONU responded with an 8-2 run to take the lead, but Trinity wouldn't go away. The opening frame was a back-and-forth affair, featuring high-octane offense from both sides. Khendel Rolison drained a crucial three in the final two minutes to put the Tigers up by three, and ONU capitalized on free throws from Preslee Michale and another three from Rolison to close out the quarter ahead 28-22.

The second quarter belonged to the Tigers. A dominant 14-2 run early in the quarter stretched the lead to 25 points, leaving the Trolls reeling. Trinity managed to add nine points late in the period, but it wasn't enough to stop the Tiger juggernaut. At halftime, ONU held a commanding 62-37 lead.

The third quarter saw more back-and-forth action, with both teams trading baskets. However, ONU refused to relinquish control. Bett O'Neal's crucial layup midway through the period pushed the lead to 33 points, and the Tigers continued to apply pressure, stifling any comeback attempts by the Trolls. The quarter ended with ONU firmly in command, 90-57

ONU refused to let up, opening the final frame with a 10-4 run. Trinity fought valiantly, but the Tigers' offensive prowess and defensive intensity proved too much to overcome. The final buzzer sounded with ONU celebrating a decisive 117-72 victory.
