TIGERS UNABLE TO FIND NET AGAINST ST. XAVIER

CHICAGO, IL. – In a hard fought battle at Deaton Field on Tuesday, Olivet Nazarene University's men's soccer team fell to St. Xavier University with a score of 0-1. 

 

First Half: Tigers Can't Keep Up

The first half saw both teams showcasing their defensive strengths, resulting in a tight contest. Both sides had their moments, but neither could break through their opponent's defense. In the 42nd minute, the Cougars were awarded a penalty kick, which they successfully converted, taking a 1-0 lead into halftime.

 

Second Half: ONU Faces Uphill Battle

The second half was marked by ONU's determined effort to level the score. They created multiple scoring opportunities, but St. Xavier's defense held strong. Despite their relentless offensive efforts, the Tigers were unable to find the back of the net, leaving the score at 1-0 in favor of St. Xavier.

 

Looking Ahead

Despite the disappointing loss, ONU is determined to bounce back and secure a victory in front of their home crowd. The Tigers are set to face off against Judson University at Snowbarger Athletic Complex on Oct 14th at 5:00 p.m. CST.
