ONU ADVANCES TO SEMIS WITH WIN OVER JUDSON

BOURBONNAIS, IL. - In an intense CCAC quarterfinal matchup on Friday, Olivet Nazarene University's women's soccer team secured a convincing 2-0 victory against Judson University.

First Half: Tigers Take The Lead

The initial half of the game saw ONU take control of the proceedings. In the 29th minute, junior forward Hannah Dela Vega struck the first goal, brilliantly assisted by junior midfielder Alaina Bahr. ONU maintained consistent offensive pressure while their defense remained disciplined, ensuring they held onto their lead.

Second Half: ONU Maintains Control

Entering the second half with a 1-0 lead, ONU continued to demonstrate their dominance on the field. In the 45th minute, senior defender Sarah Loichinger expertly converted a penalty kick, extending their lead to 2-0. ONU's defense remained unyielding, thwarting Judson's attempts to stage a comeback.

 

Looking Ahead

Following their impressive victory over Judson, ONU eagerly anticipates the CCAC semifinals. The Tigers will take on Viterbo University on their home turf on Nov. 7th.
