TIGERBALL EXTENDS WIN STREAK TO FIVE WITH WIN OVER JUDSON

BOURBONNAIS, IL. - Olivet Nazarene University's women's basketball team left no room for doubt as they secured a dominant 93-49 victory against Judson University on Saturday

ONU wasted no time establishing their dominance, with Preslee Michael and Jamie Finn draining back-to-back threes to open the scoring. Judson attempted to stay close, but the Tigers were relentless, extending their lead with each possession. The first quarter ended with ONU firmly in control, leading 24-15.

The second quarter saw ONU extend their lead even further, as Olivia Dirkse, Madison Smith, and Bett O'Neal connected on back-to-back threes to push the Tigers' advantage to 19 points. Judson attempted to chip away at the deficit, but ONU's relentless defense shut down any scoring opportunities, and the Tigers cruised into halftime with a comfortable 45-24 lead.

Judson tried to spark a comeback in the third quarter with an early three-pointer, but ONU quickly squashed any hopes of a comeback. The Tigers' relentless defensive pressure forced turnovers and converted them into easy baskets. Smith and Kayleigh Flach continued their three-point barrage, and with six seconds left in the quarter, Grace Schutt sank a buzzer-beating three to give ONU a 41-point lead heading into the final frame.

Olivia Demosthenes opened the fourth quarter with another three-pointer for ONU, further solidifying their lead. Judson continued to fight, but ONU's hot shooting and aggressive defense proved too much to overcome. The Tigers added a few more free throws and three-pointers before the final buzzer sounded, securing a resounding 93-49 victory.

The Tigers will look to continue their winning ways on Jan. 31st, when they travel to take on the Roosevelt Lakers. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m. CST.
