ONU HOLDS HOLY CROSS TO 1-1 DRAW IN ROAD MATCH

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Olivet Nazarene University's (ONU) women's soccer team fought to a 1-1 draw against Holy Cross College on Wednesday in a tightly contested road match. The Tigers showed resilience, overcoming an early deficit to secure a hard-earned point in conference play.

Holy Cross took the lead in the third minute, capitalizing on an early opportunity to put ONU behind 1-0. The Tigers regrouped and increased their pressure as the half progressed, eventually finding their equalizer in the 40th minute when Alaina Bahr scored off a well-placed assist from Hailey King. The Tigers entered halftime tied at 1-1, with both teams eager to gain the upper hand in the second half.

The second half saw strong defensive efforts from both sides, as each team fought to create scoring chances but was unable to break the deadlock. ONU's defense stood tall against Holy Cross's attacks, preserving the draw and keeping the Tigers undefeated on the road in conference play.

Looking Ahead

ONU will return home for a conference matchup against the Cougars of Saint Xavier University on Oct. 15th, with kickoff set for 4 p.m. CST. The Tigers will look to turn their focus to securing a win on home turf.
