MEN’S TENNIS CRUISES TO 5-2 VICTORY OVER UW-STEVENS POINT

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – Playing on their home courts for the first time this season, the Olivet Nazarene University men's tennis team cruised to a 5-2 victory over UW-Stevens Point Saturday afternoon at Snowbarger Athletic Complex.

The ONU men four of the six singles matches, all in straight sets, while sweeping all three doubles matches to pick up the match victory.

Chatton Haws set the tone at the top of the lineup, quickly handling the top singles match 6-2, 6-2 while Paul Saleh was victorious at No. 2 singles in straight sets at 6-4, 6-1.

Davi Toledo was perfect in his singles match, not surrendering a single set en route to a 6-0, 6-0 win in the No. 3 match. Brian Ayala Victoria needed a first-set tiebreaker, but was ultimately victorious 7-6, 6-1 at No. 4.

Saleh teamed up with Sanskar Choubey to win the top doubles match 7-5. Haws and Ayala won the No. 2 doubles match 6-3, while Toledo and Hector Romero closed out the doubles sweep with a 6-2 victory in the final match.

ONU will stay put to host Wabash Saturday at Snowbarger Athletic Complex.
