TIGERBALL DOMINATES HOLY CROSS ON THE ROAD

NOTRE DAME, IN. – Olivet Nazarene University women's basketball team won big over the Saints of Holy Cross College on Wednesday, walking away with a 94-72 victory.

The game began with a flurry of activity, as both teams traded fouls before ONU's Brooklyn Marshall opened the scoring. This sparked an 8-0 run for the Tigers, setting the tone for the rest of the quarter. Kayleigh Flach and Preslee Michael added fuel to the fire with a combined 5 points, giving ONU an 11-point lead. The Saints attempted to chip away, but ONU maintained their offensive momentum, ending the quarter with a commanding 29-16 advantage.

The second quarter saw ONU continue their dominance. Marshall sank two free throws to start things off, and Jamie Finn's jumper pushed the lead to 13 points. Anne Peters then caught fire, scoring five straight points to widen the gap to 18. Despite a late surge from Holy Cross, ONU went into halftime with a commanding 50-27 lead.

The third quarter saw Holy Cross make a brief comeback attempt, going on an 8-0 run to cut the deficit to 14 points. However, ONU responded with an 8-0 run of their own to quell any hope of a Saints rally. Holy Cross managed a last-second shot to close the gap to 20 points heading into the final quarter.

The fourth quarter saw Holy Cross make a final push, but ONU's defense held firm. The Tigers prevented the Saints from gaining any significant momentum, and slowly but surely extended their lead. As the clock ticked down, ONU secured the victory by a decisive 94-72 margin.

What's Next

The Tigers are ready to build on this momentum and set their sights on the next match. ONU will celebrate senior day with a match against Trinity Christian College. Tip-off is slated for 1 p.m. CST.
