ONU AND JUDSON BATTLE TO DRAW

BOURBONNAIS, IL. - In a thrilling home match at Snowbarger Athletic Complex on Saturday, Olivet Nazarene University's women's soccer team faced off against Judson University on Saturday, resulting in a 1-1 draw.

 

First Half: A Pivotal Goal For Judson 
The first half of the game was marked by intense action and solid defense from both teams. Judson managed to seize a critical opportunity in the 42nd minute when they scored the opening goal. The pressure was on, but ONU's defense held strong, and the first half concluded with a 1-0 lead for Judson.

 

Second Half: ONU Makes A Comeback

The second half brought a renewed sense of energy and determination for the Tigers. Their persistent efforts were soon rewarded in the 59th minute when junior forward Hannah Deal Vega, in a display of remarkable skill, found the back of the net, leveling the score at 1-1. Junior midfielder Olivia Lorenc's precise assist played a pivotal role in setting up this crucial goal.

The game continued with a series of heart-stopping moments, with both teams giving it their all, but neither could manage to break the deadlock again. The match ended with a well-deserved 1-1 draw.

 

Looking Ahead

The Tigers are more determined than ever to bounce back from this draw against Judson and regain the momentum. ONU is set to hit the road and square off against Indiana South Bend on Oct. 17th. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. CST at Newton Park.
