PARRY REPEATS TO LEAD ONU AT NAIA SWIMMING & DIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS

ELKHART, Ind. – Kayla Parry defended her title in the 200-yard butterfly as the Olivet Nazarene University men's and women's swimming & diving teams competed at the 2025 NAIA Championships Wednesday through Saturday at the Elkhart Aquatic Center.

After claiming the gold medal in the event as a freshman last year, Parry touched the wall first again in the 200-yard butterfly at 2:02.17. The New Holland, Pa., native knocked over three seconds off her preliminary time to pick up the win and break the school record she set a season ago (2:03.92).

Parry added another All-American finish when she placed sixth in the 400-yard IM at 4:31.26. She was one of three Tigers to secure multiple All-American finishes. Grace Barnhart dominated the distance events with a fifth-place finish in the 1650-yard freestyle (17:35.97) and a sixth-place performance in the 500-yard freestyle (5:07.06). Paige Howell excelled in the backstroke events, placing fifth in the 200-yard (2:04.68) and sixth in the 100-yard (57.33).

Timothy Braun and Jack Fries earned All-American distinction for the ONU men. Braun broke the school record to place fifth in the 200-yard freestyle at 1:38.38 while Fries secured a seventh-place finish in the 200-yard IM with a time of 1:51.03.

ONU finished the championships with eight individual NAIA All-Americans, netting six on the women's side and a pair for the men, while the women added four All-American relays and the men earned distinction in the 200-yard freestyle relay. A total of 14 Tigers earned a top-16 finish.

The ONU men tallied 109 points to place 12th, while the women scored 207 points to take seventh overall.
