WHITE LEADS No. 20 TIGERS TO MEET WIN AT BETHEL INVITATIONAL

MISHAWAKA, Ind.Catherine White notched a runner-up individual finish to lead the No. 20 Olivet Nazarene University women's cross country team to a meet win at the Bethel Invitational Friday afternoon at St. Patrick's Park.

White, the 2022 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year, finished second overall in the 137-runner field with a 5 km time of 19:29.3. Bella Hoffer joined her teammate in the top 10 with a seventh-place finish, nearly eclipsing the 20-minute threshold at 20:02.7.

The next three Tigers all finished in sequence to round out the ONU scoring. Madison Trumbo came in 15th at 20:21.8, Amelia Murray placed 16th at 20:23.5, and Taygen Beyer took 17th at 20:32.1.

The Tigers took the team crown with a final score of 57. Goshen finished runner-up with 75 and Spring Arbor just behind them in third at 77.

ONU will compete in their final regular-season meet at the Great Lakes Invitational on Oct. 26 in Grand Rapids, Mich.
