TIGERS UNABLE TO OVERCOME No. 17 MARIAN AT HOME

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. - Olivet Nazarene University (ONU) women's soccer team faced another challenging contest on Monday, falling 2-0 to Marian University in a determined effort at home.

The Tigers put up a solid defensive performance in the first half, managing to keep the Knights at bay and entering halftime with the score still tied at 0-0.

The second half, however, saw Marian break the deadlock. The Knights capitalized on their momentum with a goal in the 50th minute, putting the Tigers on the back foot. Just six minutes later, Marian struck again, doubling their lead in the 56th minute. Despite ONU's attempts to rally and find a way back into the match, the Tigers struggled to create the clear-cut chances needed to overcome the deficit.

Looking Ahead

The Tigers will look to regroup and find their first victory of the season as they hit the road for their next match against Rochester Christian University on September 7th. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CST. ONU will aim to turn their fortunes around and secure a much-needed positive result away from home.
