THE TIGERS EARN NINTH WIN OF THE SEASON TAKING DOWN TRINITY INTERNATIONAL

DEERFIELD, Ill. – The Olivet Nazarene University men's soccer team traveled up to Schartner Field to play Trinity International University on Saturday afternoon.  The Tigers won the match, 4-2.

The Tigers wasted no time getting on the board in the first half. In the second minute, off a pass from Fabio Hasler, Justin Eisenmann marked a goal making the score, 1-0.  The Trojans evened the match at one goal apiece when they scored a goal in the eighth minute.  Both of the teams had their chances to take the lead in the first half but the Tigers and Trojans found themselves tied at one to end the half.  Eisenmann had a golden chance with time expiring in the first half but it grazed the post.

The Tigers started the second half on a high note as James Lynch marked a goal in the 49th minute.  That goal was assisted by Eisenmann.  The Trojans deadlocked the match again in the 66th minute as the two teams were tied again.  Two minutes later, the Tigers retook the lead on a goal by Max Jasper making the score 3-2.  In the 76th minute, the Tigers struck for another goal.  Kurodo Ihara fed Jasper for his second goal of the match as ONU led, 4-2.
