ONU MEN BEGIN FALL SEASON AT PLAYERS CLUB INVITATIONAL

YORKTOWN, Ind. – The 2023-24 season got underway for the Olivet Nazarene University men's golf team with 54 holes at the Players Club Invitational, hosted by Taylor University at the Players Club Golf Course in Yorktown, Ind.

The Tigers posted team scores of 294, 296, and 298 over the two-day event for a final tally of 888, good for seventh place overall in the 16-team tournament. The Marian Knights took down the Players Club Invitational with a winning score of 861.

Lorenzo Mariotti led the way for the Tigers, showcasing his consistency with scores of 75-72-73 for a 54-hole total of 220 and earning a tie for 15th.

Jack Busch and freshman Brando Signorini both finished with total scores of 225 to tie for 33rd place, while Jack Rimington kept all three rounds under 80 for a 229 and a tie for 55th.

Jordan Evans carded the Tigers' best round of the tournament with a 70 in the second split, but had to withdraw in the third and final round.

ONU will resume its fall season on Sept. 18 at the Tri-State Invitational in Asbury, Iowa.
