ONU OPENS SPRING SPLIT AT HERITAGE HILLS COLLEGIATE

SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. – The Olivet Nazarene University women's golf team kicked off the spring portion of its schedule at the three-day Heritage Hill Collegiate last weekend played at the Heritage Hill Golf Course.

Alexandria Jones and Mara Bakke had nearly identical scores over the three rounds, with the only discrepancy coming by a one-stroke factor on Friday. Both Tigers shot a 78 and a 91 in the opening and closing rounds, respectively, while Jones notched an 84 and Bakke an 85 in the second round. This earned the former a tie for 22nd place and the latter sole possession of 24th.

Lizzie Howard (83-89-92) finished with a 264, Mya Jones (96-91-92) shot a 279, and Faith Dalton (86-92-111) tabbed a 289 for ONU.

As a team, the Tigers shot a 1040 (325-349-366) to place sixth at the Heritage Hills Collegiate. Marian (Ind.) won the team title with a 902.

The Tigers will return to their home course of Kankakee Elks to host the Spring Tiger Invite Friday and Saturday in St. Anne, Ill.
