TIGERS OUTLAST THE TROLLS WITH FOUR SECOND-HALF GOALS

PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – The Olivet Nazarene University Tigers' outlasted the Trinity Christian Trolls, 5-0, on the road Wednesday evening at the Schaaf Athletic Complex. ONU improved to 6-1 on the year, 3-0 in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC), while also extending their win streak to six games.

An evenly contested first half witnessed the Trolls out-shooting the Tigers 4-3 with ONU holding the 3-2 advantage in corner kicks. Fabio Hasler opened the scoring in the 29th minute of play with the only Olivet shot on goal for the period, assisted by Justin Eisenmann. The Tigers took the one-goal advantage into the intermission.

Halftime: Olivet Nazarene 1, Trinity Christian 0

Olivet put the pressure on Trinity Christian early looking for the second goal attempting the first three shots in the second half. The Tigers found the net from a Nick Kilian freekick falling to the feet of Max Schoebel for the powerful close-range finish. Ten minutes later, Benjamin Struebelt broke the game wide-open at the 72:35 mark for his second goal on the season and made it a three-goal lead. From then on, it was all one-way traffic with James Lynch and Unla Husseini each adding to the scoreboard in the final ten minutes of play.
