MEN'S SOCCER ROLL TO 5-0 WIN OVER IOWA WESLEYAN

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – (RV) Olivet Nazarene University men's soccer team put five goals past Iowa Wesleyan Friday afternoon en route to a 5-0 victory Friday afternoon. 25 different players made an appearance with five freshmen making their collegiate debuts. Nick Kilian tallied two goals and an assist while Max Jasper scored once and dealt two assists.

ONU broke open the scoring in the 13th minute when Kilian's cross from the left side of the pitch found Fabio Hasler at the far post for the finish. The goal was the sophomore defender's first goal of the year and the fourth in his career. Only 71 seconds came off the clock before the Purple and Gold doubled their lead. Jasper floated a pass beyond the IWU backline intended for the Stahnsdorf, Germany native before he tucked away the one-versus-one opportunity to beat the netminder. Jasper found the back of the net in the 17th minute after a cutting pass from Maarten Gravekamp. Benjamin Struebelt tallied the fourth goal of the half six minutes later as Olivet Nazarene went into the break leading 4-0

ONU closed out the game allowing only two shots on frame. Mike Giannotta and freshman Noah O'Neal combined in the Tigers' second shutout this fall.
