ONU TAKES DOWN GEORGETOWN ON FINAL DAY OF WILLIAM WOODS TOURNEY

FULTON, Mo. – Four Tigers finished with double-digit kills as the Olivet Nazarene University women's volleyball team took down Georgetown 22-25. 25-23, 28-30, 25-21, 15-10 in the William Woods Quad Saturday afternoon.

Kaylee Cozen, Halle Nicholas, and Sabrina Sanif each recorded 13 kills in the five-set victory. Kaitlyn Kolb was the fourth Tiger to hit double-figures in kills, putting away 10 on the match. Kelsey Todd chipped in five kills of her own as the Tigers hit .273 as a unit to pick up the win.

Hadleigh Loitz continued her stellar senior campaign with 49 assists. She also recorded nine digs and added a kill. Nicholas matched Loitz with nine digs. Sanif tallied eight digs and Karsyn Delbridge contributed seven. Sara Serafimova led the team with 10 digs.

The Tigers began play in the two-day event with a 25-15, 25-13, 25-17 loss to No. 13 Columbia Friday evening.

Molly Kurtz was the only Tiger to reach double figures in kills. Putting down 11. Nicholas had four, Kold finished with three and Cozen, Loitz, and Sanif each registered a pair.

Loitz led the team with 24 assists. She also had six digs. Serafimova recorded nine digs and an ace.

ONU also fell to host William Woods 25-22, 25-17, 26-24 Saturday to wrap up the weekend.

Cozen was the Tigers' leading attacker, notching nine kills on a .348 hitting percentage. Kurtz finished with eight kills, Nicholas had seven and Kolb recorded six.

Loitz had another big match, finishing with 27 assists and eight digs. Delbridge and Serafimova each had double-digit digs, tallying 14 and 13, respectively.

ONU (8-11) will return to league play with a home match against Indiana South Bend in McHie Arena Tuesday night.
