TIGERS CLAIM CCAC OPENER VERSUS IU-NORTHWEST

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The Olivet Nazarene men's soccer team won their fourth consecutive match in an 11-0 victory over the Indiana University-Northwest RedHawks to begin Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) play Saturday night. Justin Eisenmann led the way for the Tigers registering a career-high four goals in the contest.

The Tigers wasted no time to open the scoring. ONU scored twice within the first two minutes. Max Jasper recorded the game-winner at the 1:37 mark assisted by Nick Killian. Eisenmann doubled the lead only 13 seconds later. The assist was doled out by the goalkeeper Mike Giannotta. Eisenmann put the game out of reach only 10:27 into the match to make it 3-0. It was all Olivet from there on out. Jasper, Eisenmann (2), Martin Imping, and Fabio Hasler all piled onto the scoreboard to bring the score to 8-0 at the intermission.

Kenny Huber got production from his substitutes after going to the bench to start the second half. Eric Anderson scored his first career goal in his first career appearance. James Lynch and Holden Devore scored their first goals of the season. Gustavo Mancera and Benjamin Struebelt contributed their first assists of the year. The Tigers outshot the RedHawks 59-2 with 21 of them targeted on goal. ONU held the advantage in corner kicks for the games with 16 to IU-Northwest's none. The Olivet defensive unit limited the RedHawks to only two total shots with Giannotta only having to make one save.
