PARRY PICKS UP FIRST KCAC SWIMMER OF THE MONTH HONOR
BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – After a stellar start to her sophomore season, Olivet Nazarene University's Kayla Parry has been named the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) Women's Swimmer of the Month. The league office announced their selections Tuesday afternoon.
To no surprise, Parry was very successful in the 200-yard butterfly, the event that made her a national champion at last season's NAIA national meet. The New Holland, Pa., native hit the B qualifying standard both times she swam the event while also hitting the B cut in the 200-yard breaststroke, 200-yard IM, and the 400-yard IM. In total, Parry made the NAIA "B" cut in nine of her 10 individual races this month, winning eight of them.
