THREE ONU TIGERS AWARDED CoSIDA ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICA HONORS

AUSTIN, Texas - The Olivet Nazarene University men's soccer team had three student-athletes named to the 2022 Academic All-America® Men's Soccer Team, as voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competitions and in the classroom. Nominees must be starters or important reserves, sophomores or older, with at least 3.30 cumulative grade point averages. View the Academic All-America teams HERE.

The back-to-back CCAC regular season and tournament champions produced two CoSIDA First Team Academic All-America members: Justin Eisenmann, and Nick Kilian, and Second Team Academic All-America member: Fabio Hasler. Olivet Nazarene is one of two men's soccer programs with the most players named to this year's awards (3; tied with St. Thomas University, Fla.)

Eisenmann is coming off one of the most prolific seasons in school history. He led the conference in all four of the major offensive categories: goals (13), assists (12), points (38), and game-winning goals (5). Eisenmann was named the CCAC Player of the Year for his efforts, the first Tiger to receive the honor since 2016. The striker has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team for the second consecutive year after earning Second Team honors in 2021. The junior forward from Breuningsweiler, Germany is working on his degree in Sport Management.

Kilian earned first-team all-CCAC honors as a defenseman for the Tigers after tabbing three goals and eight assists this season. He currently sits second all-time in program history for career assists with 30. This is the wingback's first appearance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America awards. The junior from Stahnsdorf, Germany is majoring in Business Administration.

Hasler, a sophomore defenseman from Frauenfeld, Switzerland, was named to the all-CCAC first team for his work on ONU's back line. He netted five goals and assisted on five more this year and helped the team qualify for the NAIA National Tournament. This is the wingback's first appearance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America awards. Hasler is majoring in Chemistry.
