ONU TENNIS SETTLED FOR A SPLIT AT THE IWU FALL CLASSIC

MARION, Ind. – The Olivet Nazarene University men's and women's tennis teams competed in the Indiana Wesleyan Fall Classic on Saturday.  The Tigers played the Warriors of Indiana Tech in their first match and the Saints of Aquinas in their second match. 

First Match: Men's Side: IIT 4, ONU 1 | Women's Side: IIT 5, ONU 0

Francisco Faria proved to be the only winner on the men's or women's side as he took a straight set match, 6-1 and 6-3.

On the men's side, the Tigers bounced back nicely after dropping their match to Indiana Tech.  The teams of Ayala and Toledo and Taiga Kurosu and Bryce Ranchero both won their doubles matches.  Then, Faria, Banuls, and Ayala won their matches to clinch the 4-0 victory for the Tigers. 

On the women's side, the Tigers had to rally after dropping their doubles matchups.  Wins by Mzibri, Yu-Chen, Patel, and Audrey Zoeteman lifted the Tigers over the Saints, 4-1.
