TIGER MEN PLACE 23RD OVERALL AT NAIA CHAMPIONSHIP MEET

VANCOUVER, Wash. – The Olivet Nazarene University men's cross country team concluded their 2023 season with a 23rd-place team finish at the NAIA National Championships Friday morning at the Fort Vancouver Historical Site in Vancouver, Wash.

Ohio natives Flynn Prather and Taylor Vallangeon led the charge for the Tigers at the NAIA National Championships. Prather placed 66th in the 331-runner field at 26:04 while Vallangeon crossed the line at 26:09 to earn 74th place.

CCAC runner-up Enrique Romo nearly cracked the top 100, placing 105th with a time of 26:30. Joey Puccillo turned in a 26:54 to place 137th and David Olmos rounded out the Tiger scoring in 148th place at 27:01. Peyton Hobson and Nick Janson also competed for ONU at the national meet.

The Tigers tallied 530 points to place 23rd in the 36-team event. Milligan took home the red banner with a final score of 93 points.

ONU's 23rd-place finish at the 2023 NAIA National Championship Meet is a one-spot improvement from their performance a year ago, placing 24th at the national meet in 2022.
