CATAFORT- -SILVA PLACES IN THE TOP 50 AS THE TIGERS CONCLUDE PLAY AT THE 2022 NAIA WOMEN'S GOLF NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

OKLAHOMA CITY – The RV Olivet Nazarene University women's golf team competed in their fourth-straight NAIA Women's Golf National Championship on Tuesday through Friday. The championships were played at the Lincoln Park West Golf Course. 

 

After the first round was rained out, the Tigers started play on Wednesday.  After the first round, the Tigers found themselves in tied for 18th place.  After two rounds, ONU dropped to 24th place.  As a team, the Tigers did not make the cut to compete in the final round.   

 

Leading the Tigers in round one was Margaux Catafort- -Silva.  The Tiger senior carded an even round of 72 and stood in tied for 12th place.  In round two, Catafort- -Silva dropped to +2 after carding a round of 74.  Fellow Tiger senior Kiana Krahulik followed behind Catafort- -Silva as she wrote a +4 (76) in her scorecard for round one and turned in an +9 (81) in round two.  Liz Miller, Grace Miller, and Alexandria Jones trailed behind as they carded first rounds of 80 and 82, respectively.  Liz Miller shot an 82 in the second round while Jones and Grace Miller posted an 84 and 89 in the second round, respectively. 

 

Catafort- -Silva was the lone Tiger to make the cut in the final round of the Championship.  She finished in 46th overall with a final round score of 82 (+10). This is the second-straight year that Margaux made the cut in the championships.
