ONU WINS WOMEN'S CCAC INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The Olivet Nazarene University women's track and field team hosted the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Indoor Championships for the first time since 2019 on Friday and Saturday.  The Tigers won the meet with 293 points and St. Francis and St. Xavier rounded out the top three with 189.5 and 85.5 points, respectively.

 

The Tigers took first in a plethora of track events and notched plenty of all-conference performances.  Tera Miller, Linda Griffith, and Hannah Antkoviak took all three places in the women's 400-meter dash.  Miller won the race finishing in 58.50 seconds. Griffith took her momentum from the 400-meter dash into the 60-meter hurdles as she placed first with a final time of 9.17 seconds.  Antkoviak finished in second in the race. In the women's 4x400 relay, the team of Miller, Antkoviak, Kimberly Brent, and Griffith won the race with a time of 4:00.24, finishing 12 second in front of the next team.  The Tigers continued their success in the relays as the team of Lindsey DiazDeLeon, Mackenzie Park, Madyson Rogers, and Tori Orton won the 4x800 relay with a time of 9:49.64. 

 

The Tigers also thrived in the field events.  Macy O'Neill and Lynette Latocha shared the high jump crown with a mark of 1.68 meters. Olivia Earl, Lindsey Shouse, and Karleigh Baran then took the first three places in the pole vault.  Earl won the event with a mark of 3.52 meters.  Then, Madeline Manganiello and Melissa Sanders were the top two finishers in the triple jump as Manganiello won with a mark of 11.29 meters.  Continuing on in the field events, Madeleine Robinson finished first in the shot put and weight throw with marks of 13.75 meters and 16.12 meters, respectively.  Courtney Hall then finished second in the shot put and third in the weight throw. 

 

Robinson earns Female Field Athlete of the Meet and Head Coach Kyle Rago wins Coach of the Year as the Tigers won the meet with 293 points.
