TIGERS START SPRING SEASON WITH WIN IN MUSIC CITY SHOOTOUT

JOELTON, Tenn. – Competing for the first time since October, the Olivet Nazarene University men's golf returned to the links with a first-place finish in the Music City Shootout at the Nashville National Golf Links this weekend.

Jordan Evans was ONU's leading scorer, opening with a 74 before finishing with a 2-over 72 to earn a tie for the runner-up position. Just two strokes behind Evans were both Jack Busch and Caleb Stinespring, who both carded 148 to tie for fifth place. Jack Rimington improved his second-round score by six strokes to finish in a three-way tie for ninth. To wrap up the scoring for the Tigers, Lorenzo Mariotti saw a three-stroke improvement on day two to card a 157 (80-77) and place 29th.

ONU and Wabash both scored 592 over the two-round tournament, but the Tigers took the title via tiebreaker. Brayden Weiss of Wabash claimed individual medalist honors by three shots, firing a 143 (73-70) to take the tournament's top spot.

WHAT'S NEXT?

The ONU men's golf team is headed to the Sunshine State for their spring break trip, where they will play at the Perdido Bay Golf Course in Sarasota, Fla.
