TIGERBALL HAS FOUR EARN ALL-CONFERENCE RECOGNITION

CHICAGO, Ill. – After a strong season that reached the CCAC Tournament Championship game, the Olivet Nazarene University women's basketball team had four Tigers earn recognition from the conference for their performances this season, as the league office announced its postseason awards Tuesday.

Khendel Rolison was named second team all-CCAC, Preslee Michael was placed on the CCAC All-Freshman Team, and Olivia Demosthenes and Olivia Dirkse both earned all-conference honorable mention.

For Rolison, it marked the first time she had been selected to an all-conference team by the CCAC. She led the team in both scoring (15.6 points per game) and assists (3.3 assists per game) while shooting better than 41 percent from the floor and nearly 37 percent from three. The 5-7 junior scored in double figures in 26 of the Tigers' 30 games this season. She scored a career-best 39 points in a 117-72 win over Trinity Christian on Feb. 17, scoring 30 points in the first half alone.

Rolison posted a pair of double-doubles this season, recording a 10-point, 10-assist stat sheet in a 94-81 win over Arizona Christian before tallying a 14-point, 10-steal game in ONU's 118-38 win over Calumet. The Cedarburg, Wis., native sits just 92 points shy of joining the exclusive 1,000-point club with 908 total points in her career.

Michael is one of just five freshmen in the conference to be named to the CCAC All-Freshman Team. The 5-8 guard from Terre Haute, Ind., was the team's top three-point threat, knocking down 52 of her 102 three-point field goal attempts, good for 51 percent.

At the time of announcement, Michael's three-point percentage was the best shooting clip in the NAIA. In the final five games of the season, Michael shot 16-of-22 from deep while averaging 14.2 points per game. On the season, she averaged 8.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per contest.

Demosthenes earned her second consecutive honorable mention nod from the CCAC. She became the 35th player in program history to score 1,000 career points when she reached the milestone in an 86-69 win over St. Ambrose on Jan. 24. She needed just 100 games to hit the mark and ended the season with 1,099 career points, good for 28th on the program's all-time scoring list. The 5-6 senior averaged double-digit scoring for the second consecutive year with 10.6 points per game, while adding 2.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists per contest.

Dirkse, who was named to the CCAC All-Freshman Team last season, continued to be lethal from beyond the arc. The 5-8 sophomore from Davison, Mich., knocked down a team-leading 2.1 triples per contest at a better than 30-percent clip. Dirkse hit at least one 3-pointer in 26 games this year and hit multiple threes in a game 20 times, highlighted by three games with five triples. She averaged 10.5 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per contest.
