
MEN'S VOLLEYBALL PREMIERES AT MCHIE ARENA FOR FIRST TIME IN SCHOOL HISTORY TUESDAY
BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The Olivet Nazarene men's volleyball program will play their first-ever home matches tomorrow as they host the ONU Quad at McHie Arena. The Tigers welcome No. 9 Indiana Tech, (RV) Trinity Christian, and Goshen to campus as they look to secure their first win in their inaugural season.

MMVI Results
The Tigers opened up their first season in program history with back-to-back double-headers in Grand Rapids, Mich. as Cornerstone played host for the Michigan Men's Volleyball Invitational. ONU forced five sets in both matches of day one and competed well in day two, but fell short and are still in search of their first win in school history.
Max Slaughter stared throughout the weekend for the Purple and Gold leading the team in points in each match. Slaughter averaged 4.4 points per set with 3.57 kills per set. The outside hitter from Honolulu, Hi. tallied a team-high 50 kills and seven service aces.
Serious contributors included Collier Kahaku Marquez with his team-high .354 hitting percentage and 15 total blocks. James Ballance registered the most digs so far in the young season totaling 27. Hunter DeMello doled out the most assists for the Tigers with 70. The lead blocker on the team is Jackson Harvey who completed 16 total blocks.

Team Makeup
Olivet Nazarene is comprised of a total of 22 players. Josh Krenkel is the veteran of the group as the only senior on the squad. The rest of the roster consists of two juniors, six sophomores, and 13 freshmen. A vital core of the group is comprised of six players from Hawaii. This includes Santana Haliniak-Desa, Max Slaughter, Jonathan Punohu, Hunter DeMello, Collier Kahaku Marquez, and Jaiton Kamaunu.
