MEN THIRD, WOMEN FIFTH AT BETHEL INVITATIONAL
MISHAWAKA, Ind. – In one of the toughest meets on the schedule, the Olivet Nazarene University men finished third and the Tiger women took fifth at the Bethel Invitational Friday afternoon. The 10-team event was held at St. Patrick's County Park in South Bend, Ind.
Women's Results
Jacey Schickel pulled out a medal finish in the women's 5k, running a 19:03.3 to finish third overall at the Bethel Invitational. This time was a 26-second improvement on her time from last week's Louisville Classic. Amelia Murray crossed the finish line in 21st at 20:41.9, while Kenzie Park finished at 21:10.1 to place 29th overall. Molly Raymond knocked 22 seconds off of her time from a week ago to place 35th. Rounding out the scoring for the Tigers was Maddie Moore, running a 21:36.5 to finish in 43rd.
The Tigers tallied 124 points to take fifth as a team. The Notre Dame Running Club took the team crown with 22 points.

Men's Results
After missing last week's meet, the Louisville Classic, Taylor Vallangeon returned to bolt to a meet victory. Vallangeon ran a 25:10.9 to take meet's top spot by over a minute. Hayden Colclasure finished inside the top-5 with a fourth-place finish (26:21.0). Boston Brooks ran a sub-27 to place 21st overall, while Vaughn Huber placed 36th at 27:53.5. The Tigers wrapped up their scoring with Isaiah Dallal, who ran a 28:18.1 to finish in 49th place.
As a team, ONU took third overall with a total of 99 points. Indiana Wesleyan took the team title on the men's side with 30 points.

WHAT'S NEXT?
The ONU cross country teams will have the next two weekends off before they head to the NAIA Great Lakes Invite at Riverfront Park in Grand Rapids, Mich. The meet will be held on Oct. 22.
