ONU TO HOST INAUGURAL FOOTBALL MEGA CAMP ON JUNE 5

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – Olivet Nazarene University will host its first-ever Football Mega Camp on Thursday, June 5, 2025, drawing high school athletes from across Illinois, Indiana, and the Midwest for a one-day showcase of talent, coaching, and collegiate opportunity. The camp will be held on Olivet's state-of-the-art campus athletic facilities and is expected to be one of the largest events of its kind in the region this summer.

Open to students entering grades 8–12, the Mega Camp will bring together a wide range of collegiate coaches from across the country, offering athletes not just exposure but direct instruction from those at the next level. Participating athletes will run position-specific drills, engage in combine-style performance evaluations, and receive individualized coaching feedback in a high-energy, competitive environment.

"The primary purpose of this camp is to allow athletes to be evaluated from college coaches from all levels and to provide a platform for them to showcase their skills as they seek to advance their recruitment opportunities," said Avante Mitchell, head football coach at Olivet Nazarene University. "For many of our campers, this will be their first time being coached by college coaches and for others it'll be their next step closer to their dreams of playing college ball. This will be a great opportunity for all of our participants to be seen, to compete, and to grow."
