Perry Student Life and Recreation Center

Perry Student Life and Recreation Center

The Douglas E. Perry Student Life and Recreation Center opened on December 12, 2012, which is the newest building on campus. The Perry Center is designed to strengthen the sense of community among students, as well as augment the thriving intramural and intercollegiate athletic programs.  The Perry Center houses our Men’s and Women’s Track and Field and Swim & Dive teams, and additionally it houses the Sports Information and Track and Field and Cross-Country offices. The 168,000 square-foot facility, who is two-and-a-half times as big as the Ludwig Center,  has an eight lane, 200-meter track, and a 10-lane competition pool as well as an additional pool.  This facility is also home to a four-story rock-climbing wall, which is one of the biggest at a college campus, a 72,000 square foot fieldhouse with a running track and four basketball courts, a two-story workout facility, a spacious lounge, a game room, and several classrooms.  Olivet Nazarene is one of the few colleges in the state of Illinois with an eight-lane, 200-meter indoor track. Its Mondo surface is the same as that used in the 2012 Olympics.
