BURNS' GEM EARNS HIM CCAC PITCHER OF THE WEEK ACCOLADE

CHICAGO, Ill. – A complete-game effort from Olivet Nazarene University's Thomas Burns (Atlanta, Ga.) has earned him the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week nod for the seven-day period ending March 12, the league office announced on Tuesday.

Burns tossed his gem on Friday in a 5-1 victory over Waldorf College (Iowa).  The junior struck out nine batters opposite just one walk, while yielding four hits in his seven innings of work.

The victory was one of two on the week in three games for the Tigers, who are 10-11 overall.
