CCAC NAMES ALEX GROSS MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK FOR THE SECOND STRAIGHT WEEK

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) announced on Tuesday afternoon that No. 23 Olivet Nazarene University men's basketball center Alex Gross won his second straight Player of the Week honor.

 

Gross had a big week for the Tigers turning in a pair of double-double performances.  The Hope, Ind. native scored 19 points and grabbed 16 rebounds against Saint Ambrose before marking a season-high 28 points and added 14 rebounds against Saint Xavier.  The Tiger big man added five blocks as well. 

 

Gross currently leads the NAIA with 14.3 rebounds a game and is second in total rebounds with 116.  Additionally, Gross is tied for third in the nation with 23 blocks. 

 

Gross and the No. 23 Tigers (7-1, 4-0 CCAC) return to the hardwood tonight as they do battle with the RedHawks of Indiana University Northwest at 6:30 p.m. inside the Savannah Center.  Please visit onutigers.com for all of the live links.
